This walk takes you deep into the heart of the Cuillin Hills to the beautiful and lonely Loch Coruisk. It is possible to get there and back in one long day although such an undertaking is probably best during the summer when the days are longer. A good option would be to take a tent and spend a night at the loch, leaving more time for exploring the area.

The route initially heads on a good footpath along Glen Sligachan. The route may be boggy in parts and crosses numerous small streams. After 2½ to 3 hours the path splits, the right hand route leading to Loch Coruisk. The other path will take you to the beach at Camasunary (also accessible from Elgol and Kilmarie.)
