'The township'
This township was formed around 1811 when families were evicted from the more fertile glens by the MacDonald estate.
Near here, at Locan na Poite (Gaelic: Pot Loch), a fearsome monster guards a pot of gold and eats anyone who is foolish enough to swim there. According to legend the pot will be discovered, without disturbing the monster we assume, when 'the three things that must happen have happened'. Happy hunting.
